Yeer in Beer: the SMH article that planted a seed and inspired me to do something with whisky that hadn’t been done before (to the best of my knowledge), hence the birth of Whisky a Day.

The three best whisky bars in Perth:

Nicks Wine Merchants: the website where I buy most of my whisky from.  Extensive tasting notes, educational material, great prices and service.  Free delivery Australia wide for orders over $200.  No, I’m not sponsored by them (but open to offers guys!), they’re just a great independent merchant that I’ve used for years.

Dram Full – Perth: Are you a Dram Full?  “Dram Full – Perth” is Perth’s premier whisky club, open to everyone who likes to drink whisky and share their passion with friends.

Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible: If you’re going to learn more about whisky, you might as well start with the guru.  Some of Jim’s tasting notes are a little brief, but if you’re tasting over 4,500 whiskies I guess you can forgive the guy for glossing over a few of them.

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society: Australian branch of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Whisky Live Perth 2014: over 100 whiskies for tasting.  Can’t wait!  Not sure I’ll attempt to knock over all 100, as tempting as it may be to get almost a third of the way through the Whisky a Day project…
